United upgrades international vary on distance, from around $40 to $250 roughly per leg.

United benefits are close to useless, given that UA flights are nearly always full unless you're traveling in October or February, and mainline folks get to bump you with vacation passes all day long. And you can forget about upgrades, except on very rare occasions. DL benefits are better, especially since upgrades are free and you actually stand a chance of getting a seat.

^^^^^^ This right here!
Why do you think they are so willing to give everyone United bennies and so stingy with the DL? I'm sure there is a price difference between the two of what SGU has to pay per employee. No problem paying for the corporate folks to have both, but not for the actual pilots that will probably have to fly DL to help maintain our flexibility.

Hey fellow pilots. Looking to get a feel for coming back to the industry - been out since 2012 (was flying for American Eagle/Envoy). Haven't been flying much since other than a few single-banger flights now and again, wouldn't take much to get current though. Just curious to know what, if any, negative impact that might have on me trying to come back?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I was out. Came back. No issues. Don't choose the airframe (incurs a 2 year seat lock).

Commuting DEN-SEA
New ERJ hire here, I was recently assigned a SEA domicile. I live in FL and am planning to move to either DEN or SEA. DEN was my first choice and would like to live there, however, I hear commuting brings down qol. Just looking for some advice, should i move to DEN and hope that I get a transfer within the next six months or just make the move to SEA? Thanks
