Initial award in training will probably be DTW/MSP. I'd imagine however, that by the time you finish IOE you'll be in ORD.
The announcement of the additional AA flying yesterday could spell a good amount of growth for the RJ in Chicago.

What's the deal with CRJs in DEN if the United 700s are going away? Are there still 200s sticking around there or is DEN going to eventually just be Ejets?

From IAH, I would commute to MSP or DTW. They are both Delta hubs, so you have DL and UA flights to commute on. I think Spirit might go there as well. DEN would be difficult and you wouldn't be very senior there either. COS is not a good base to commute to because it is a maintenance base. All the trips there start really early or end really late or both. You'd have to overnight for all your trips on your own dime. Even LAX would be an easier commute than COS would be, even though the flight is longer.

This +1
Commuting to an outstation base is not a good idea nor is trying hub to hub commutes especially between a UA hub and DEN. DEN is very senior at UA, so you have a lot of mainline UA commuters to deal with. Hub to hub flights are always full as well, so you'll be in the JS most of the time.

Den has a ton of 200 flying. Crj den isn't going anywhere.

Let me guess, you had to do 19 an hour when hired so they should too?

I started at 22 an hour here. And even though I had to do it, I don't think others should. Its despicable.
my thoughts exactly.. cant stand the garbage I hear all the time whereby I shouldnt even talk about my wages at 40 because someone had to do it at 19. ****es me right the F off. These captains should be working for management making sure to they cut off any ambition right and early.

Anyone got a rough estimate on how long it'll take to hold DEN after IOE?

I'm starting training on the CRJ in October. I live south of E470 near I25 so while I'm waiting for DEN (sounds like it might be a couple months) I'm considering COS since it will almost be the same commute for me considering parking, traffic and whatnot. What do I need to know about COS? I've seen that there can be early days and late nights and I'm not too worried about that for now. Any other pros/cons regarding COS I need to consider? Thanks
