DTW will be getting some 700/900 flying soon, but the 200 does lots of short hops to upper Michigan. LAX has a wide variety of flying. I'd choose the CRJ for the flexibility for either base. You can always transfer each month.

Hey I know Skywest has Ejet bases in SEA and PDX for Alaska. ORD, SFO, and DEN for United. What about Delta? SEA maybe? And if one flies the Ejet, does he/she fly for all three airlines on the Ejet or just one airline or does it all depend on where you are based for the Ejet and how the trips are built? Hope that makes sense. Just curious.

I'm setting up my interview this week and still having trouble keeping my finger on the pulse with IAH & DEN. I live in Houston but I'm afraid to bid CRJ with IAH shrinking. So DEN would be my next smartest option, right?
Also brings up the idea that maybe just doing DEN/Ejet would be a smarter option than DEN/CRJ (with the hopes of getting IAH later)

I wish I could have my cake and eat it too. Seems like IAH isn't a smart move but I'm trying hard to see if I can realistically make it work.

Den and ord are both united hubs so commuting from Iah is tough. Dtw would be easiest.

You may have a different experience, but they were only offering CRJ classes to the recent batch of guys that interviewed. They said the only guys getting the Ejet were current employees bidding for it. Obviously that'll change when more come online.

My original plan last fall was CRJ at IAH so maybe I should just stick with that. Shrinking? Yes. QOL living on base? Seems to make it worth it.

Don't count on IAH being open past January. That's straight from our CEO...

Right. That's why I mentioned that my goal would be to try and get DEN and IAH would be a great "if things get lucky for me" situation.

Why would it be so hard to commute from IAH to DEN?

Yikes...both DEN and IAH are UAL hubs and pilot bases. Translation: Lots of mainline guys ahead of you for the jumpseat...
