Thanks for everyone in this thread for keeping it professional and answering questions. I know its probably tiring getting the same questions over and over, but it makes a difference for those of us looking from outside in.
Is the ERJ situation in ORD still the same, endless reserve and no flying?

I didn't just shoot myself in the foot, I blew my foot clean off.

My credit this month is around 130 on the CRJ. That's pretty much unhead of on the E175.

SEA base
I am planning on applying with Skywest after summer and have been reading this thread quite a bit but haven't noticed any recent information on a Seattle base for a new hire.
How likely is it to get a SEA base as a new hire?
Which aircraft is a better choice for someone who wants to fly as much as possible, assuming a SEA base is an option?
Thanks

The future is with Skywest. There is a lot of movement and there is growth. TPA to DTW is pretty easy. Express Jet flies to warmer places.

Yes. The E175 still has 63 reserve lines and an endless amount of composite line holders who get hardly any flying awarded. The CRJ has very few reserves in ORD, higher pay for the first couple of years and better benefits (Delta and American). If you want ORD it's absolutely no brainier to take the CRJ. I've been senior enough to hold the 175 since the first bid for it but there's no way I'll give up my Delta and American benefits while subjecting myself to 4 day trips or crappy standups just to fly a nicer airplane. On top of the credit being higher on the CRJ and the flight benefits being better on the CRJ the pairing mix is also far better.

Oh Em Eff Gee my Sept line blows. Three CNs??? Almost 100 hrs credit? 11 days off (+ 2 golden days)??? More "replaced/not-awarded because of line constraints" than I can count?!? 13 coverage days??? And this is in one of the better-staffed bases!
