Thanks in advance.
I'm too darn lazy to look up the exact number on SWOL but upgrade is running just over 4 years, give or take a few months. Of course, that can all change in the blink of an eye...

... And be prepared, as the junior CRJ CA, to sit endless reserve in MSP. On the 175, endless reserve in ORD.

The junior captain in my upgrade got a line in MSP within 3-4 months. ORD slightly longer.

With current attrition and training full speed ahead i would guess it will be around 3 years this summer. Under rhat this fall.. (Been tracking it a long time... This is oddly familure of 2005-7 time frame were upgrade dropped to 2 years)

Ummmm. You do realize reserve is almost nonexistent in MSP? 175 is a different story currently.

I stand corrected. I'm a West Coast guy... Did my time commuting to ORD reserve, and escaped to sunnier climates.

According to Virginia I'm about 100 away so I'm guessing end of summer early fall, that would be about 2.5 ish years. How many upgrades are we running a month 20?

You seriously ask for a letter of recommendation when riding in someone's jumpseat?

Respectfully disagree. Jan 2012 hires upgrade in this upcoming March class. You expect to upgrade through all the FOs we hired in 2012 (lots) in four/five months (July/August)?
I see status quo four year upgrades until we hit the 2013 hiring freeze gap. That will drop almost a whole year off, I'd guess it would still be slightly over three years post gap.
The amount of bypassers can skew it though.

The gap will drop it but we are 9 months from that point.
Last winter they had a month of 100 or so upgrades, I don't see that happening again as it overloaded the system.

His version of a "jumpseat" is the booster seat his mom puts him in at the dinner table.
