But the union cannot come and just hand the company with a checklist of requirements the company must make or else. It is always negotiations, we could get that and lose something else I would bet.

With the majority of grievances taking around a year plus from what I heard and little to nothing coming of it. I am still not interested in building a stand off platform with the company. We have access to a lot more information than those companies with unions, which lets us know if the company is toying with us.

Actually, there are a number of areas where Mesa has it better, thanks to having an actual CBA. (Pay is not one of them, obviously.)
For instance, Mesa's PBS software actually honors seniority. And the lines are published afterward to prove it. Here, the PBS software is like a video poker machine in Vegas: the house always wins. And don't get me started on our magical morphing reserve buffers, or everyone's personal favorite PPM interpretation, "that's how we've always done it".

If I want to "help out" by sitting reserve on a day off, and Cs answers with "actually we're good that day", that should now defacto be the new reserve minimum for the base.
LET PEOPLE DROP TRIPS.
