Skywest v2.0

Did you know we've had 5 union drives and votes at SkyWest? And we've voted them all down, so guess what? We don't care and you're preaching to the wrong choir.

Eh, misleading. The rules back then were that non-votes were counted as "no" votes. Now, only votes actually cast are counted. A union drive at OO would pass now.

None. But they have a base were i live so i dont need any... You can compair and nitpick every airline and what they have vs what you have. Make your bed and enjoy it... So far OO has been a way better ride then my Eagle days.. More money, Home ect... Guess the $230 i save in union dues would pay for 7 stays a month at the airport inn...

^^^^^ yes
It is a package deal. And I do enjoy the package that OO has to offer.

won? Like game of chance?

It might. Maybe. I'm not certain. Some of the non-voters were apathetic but many more meant NO, and they meant it in all caps. Those folks would turn in a ballot under the new rules.

How much could a first officer expect to make at Skywest first year? Is it as simple as $36.50 (per hour rate) x 1000hrs? Is there a range depending on how much you want to work? Would $40,000 be possible/realistic as a first year FO?

Normally parents fly at S3CV but when you list with them using the same listing they fly at S3C. That's how I've always seen it. Maybe it's not the rule but that's how it always has worked for me. Like i said the last time i went with them otherwise they would not have gotten on. With me listing with them they went a head of other active S3C's based on my DOH.
Today I talked to the travel center and it seems that the information I posted above (in the quote) is dead wrong.
Per the SkyWest Employee Travel Manual SP 200, Chapter 4 Paragraph 2, Sub-Paragraph 10 (page 04-02.7) - Boarding Priorities (see table in manual):
Parents and buddy passes all travel as S4 on mainline flights.
On SkyWest flights parents travel as S3B where as buddy passes are S4.
On SkyWest flights parents travel as S3B where as buddy passes are S4.
This contradicts my experience on mainline. I guess I've just been lucky that the gate agent listed my parents and I as S3 but it is definitely not the rule. Also the last few weeks are the first time my parents have flown in 4 years so things have apparently changed.
Sorry if I misled anybody. Read the travel manual for details. It's all in there.
