Skywest v2.0
Or airlines might just write it off as the cost of doing business... six-figure RJ FO pay would incentivize a lot of kids to get off Mom's sofa and head down to the FBO.

Off topic, but I just bought some new shirts and if anyone is looking at buying some also and wants 10% off A Cut Above feel free to give this link a go http://fbuy.me/io9VF
This is the pay scale for a Spirit FO for the three different Airbus models they fly:
3 112 112 112
2 104 104 104
1 56 56 56
These are their hiring requirements:
Minimums: 2,000 Total Time in Fixed Wing Aircraft 1,000 Multi-engine Aircraft
Preferred: 3,000 Total Time in Fixed Wing Aircraft 1,500 in multi-engine, multi-crew, turboprop or jet aircraft
....
It would seem like all of the captains and upgrade qualified FOs at Skywest qualify. Time for the management of the regional airlines, ALL OF THE REGIONAL AIRLINES INCLUDING SKYWEST,to deal with today's reality.

The life after FB page has an almost every other day post about Captains and First Officers leaving for Spirit. I already know two of my former FO’s over there now, the multi million dollar question is Airbus or RJ PIC more valuable if you still want to leave? I told them list the pros and cons to each and then you decide what’s more beneficial to you.
Seems a no brainer since worst case, if they make the switch to Spirit and aren’t getting a call, they would eventually be getting TPIC there anyway.
I don’t disagree with you but these were guys unhappy about being SKW FO’s for a couple years... kinda hard for me to see it in their perspective given how my career turned out and I’ve had incredible luck.

MSP flying/schedule
Is MSP still junior and attainable out of training or are guys getting went to DTW/ATL/LGA now before that? Any examples of line holder schedules out of MSP that an FO could post?

Being a skywest fo and being a spirit fo is comparing apples to oranges

Most junior MSP FO is 1 year on property. Expect DTW or ATL for CRJ. LGA is an ERJ only domicile. Can you be more specific with what exactly you want to see with line holder schedules..Junior vs senior lines, pairing quality, average days off, average credit, etc.?
I would say the million dollar question is: If the music stops would you rather be stuck at Skywest CA pay topping out ~$115/hr or Spirit with $105/hr at year two FO with only room to go up from there (and more time off and far better retirement)?

But the time at spirit will pay better and have better QOL while you wait.
Also possible (likely, inevitable?) that all of the big three will implement STOPLOSS on SKW pilots when the wheels come off and schedule integrity collapses. Would really suck to be chained to that oar.
It's a choice. If the goal is big-six, you might get called faster with TPIC.
