Not only do they flow SLC crews east through deadheads and what not, but they give them the 700/900 flying that should be dtw and msp crews. Just look at the open time. Every trip is better than 70% of the pairings out of msp and dtw. So for a base that should be smaller than it is, SLC crews are already given special treatment since they get to stay in base but then they also get the good trips else where. Sounds like this same thing was happening when they would flow SLC crews to SEA.

They will continue to do that until hell freezes over. It would not look good in UT if they outsourced high-profile jobs to other states.

Yes they are very vocal about this on their recruiting pages.

Those curious on recent ERJ awards... Most junior pilot is 2y10m on property and 46 captains going to class in April (transitions & upgrades). Looks like they are starting to stock up on Capts in preparation for the aggressive delivery of new ERJs thru the remainder of the year. We'll see how it plays out given the shortage on the CRJ side.

Honestly, you will be so much better off going someplace else!

Most junior CA will be 3 years when in class. But yes, awarded slightly early. I am one of the awards as well. I don't anticipate it dropping much below 3 even with the growth. There are a ridiculous amount of senior transitions. About 20 a month. Only chance to drop near 2.5 is the possibility of an LGA base in my opinion.

I bet a LGA 175 base would be super junior, almost new hire junior. Look at how hard of a time Envoy is having getting people to go to LGA.

Envoy isn’t having a hard time getting people to go to LGA. All FO’s that hit 1,000 hours are forced to upgrade to LGA as CA. New hires FO’s are assigned LGA. That’s what you can do when you have a flow and tons of pilots: treat your pilots like crap.
