This policy is the single biggest gripe that I have with this company, but you never get paid less than you block.

We are paid the greater of credit or block. MDG and our Rig is a consideration too.
The losing money part is up to interpretation (kinda). If “major partner” decide to pad a 60 minute flight by 6 minutes we just took at 10% haircut relative to a block or better airline...or we fly the scheduled block and everyone wins.

(Some) Airlines have been in favor of padding block for better on-time ratings even though padding ground time is the cheaper option.

Mesa used to do that. You got paid the "average" block, regardless of what you flew.

The "average" was determined by throwing out all anomalies like Wx, de-icing, GDP, etc.

Oh and if your leg canx, pay = zero.

So the SKW scheme isn't all that awful. Just do your checklists thoroughly after the brake is dropped and don't taxi dangerously fast. I rarely flew under block, and the company didn't want me to (THEY get paid by the block too...). But don't fly slow in cruise, not worth it.

When Republic first year pilots are making more than my pay rate they need to seriously sit back and realize something is messed up.

If you fly over the credit you get paid actual block.
And if they fly under credit they still get the scheduled credit for that leg

That’s it. I’m almost positive the more I read about the 121 world, the dumber about it I get.

It’s comical at this point.

If "they" is 9e, then that is also consistent with OO.
