It's not the bad thing you make it out to be. Sure, human depravity also manifests itself in individuals in a way that can be destructive. But that is the exception. We need people who are not satisfied with the status quo. Otherwise we wouldn't have aircraft.

As for inc, they negotiated a very bad CPAs with cal. That's the only thing that's changed, financially. Every single employee group is still working under a contract that was ratified a decade ago or more. In other words, the costs haven't gone up. The revenue went down and absolutely no front line employee is responsible for that! Also, the fact that management would rather it's own employees compete against themselves instead of everyone working on the same team, is deplorable, immoral, and disgusting. But I'll leave that for another conversation.
And how many quarters has expressjet posted a profit before and after Inc got them? Talk about riding coat tails

What has any Skywest pilot done for the betterment of any pilots? NOTHING! No Skywest pilot had anything to do with the decision to buy xjt and they have not given anything up because of that decision. Yet all Skywest pilots have had numerous benefits from what union pilots have been fighting for with dues and contributions.

And like I said, no pilot or front line employee, has ANYTHING to do with revenue. The revenue is much lower after Skywest bought xjt because they negotiated a bad cpa. A cpa that was profitable until Skywest bought xjt. The contract hasn't changed appreciably since 2004.

Anyone up for a game of QOL Russian roulette (i.e. PBS bid awards)? It would be an interesting experiment to see what awards people get and then compare those results to what level of QOL they have. To be fair, we would probably need to incorporate what their schedule has been for the last 6 months or so.

For those that say all I post is negative, the good news is that we don't have any bases with zero reserves. Granted Den CRJ only has 2 FO's (1.32%), but MSP has 9 reserves (5.29%) which is 9x what they have had the past 3 months. System wide CRJ reserves are up 3% for the CA and 5% for the FO's (vs 20% for 175 CA and 31% for 175 FO) I don't think that will translate to any better line awards, but maybe there won't be as many coverage dates?

Anyways, it will be interesting to see how the bids turn out and if removing the standups tacked on to 4 day trips will improve things.

Pilots aren't supposed to care about revenue. That's not your job.

Regional revenue is one better scope clause away from disappearing anyway. I'll do my part and vote no to any outsourcing.

2 ALPA and 1 independent Union Drives, and you are still asking, you wonder why you are laughed at, here is why, selective memory.
You should take up day drinking, you are suited for that.....
I used to think, well, Nev is like that "special" nephew who rides the short bus to school, now I am sure you are the same as the koolaid drinkers, lime instead of cherry.

Well, I for one would like for you to defend the statement that you quoted. Are you able to? Or are you just capable of slinging personal insults? Pretty immature.

I'm not sure which portion off his statement you want defended but there were 2 ALPA drives, one independent (semi) drive (not sure if it ever went to the card counting stage), and one IBT drive in 93'(?).

I believe it was the second ALPA drive that failed by less than 10 votes.

My understanding is there is some effort to start another ALPA drive buts it's not getting enough traction.

The second ALPA drive lost by a very large margin, it was the in house drive that lost by a few handful of votes.

When someone doesn't have a legitimate counter point to make, they make a personal attack instead of attacking the point made. Go ahead and make personal attacks if that's all you have. I may be wrong but you sure aren't pointing that out. But let me take back some of what I said. I shouldn't have grouped ALL Skywest pilots into my statement. I apologize for that.

I can't believe that ALPA lets SkyWest crews use KCM. That should be taken away immediately.
