My personal interpretation was that they needed Chip's chipping skills to oversee the forthcoming era of pain at ExpressJet.

I'm not being snarky. I'm sorry.

Chip is a finance guy.. Not so good for XJT, as he wont be as nice to the "XJT planned loss" concept...

Well that didn't take long to get the skyw haters of XJT on here with their doom and gloom and pain for XJT talk. Lol.

What "XJT planned loss concept" are you talking about? They have said airplanes will be parked unless they they can be extended at rates where they are profitable. We have never been told these planes will continue to fly for a loss.

Looks to me like just a shuffling of deck chairs to show the BOD that they are doing something. I did find it interesting that in BH's update he talked about what we had to do operationally to win new flying. Kind of contradictory to what management has said about not bidding on new flying until our contract is done.

Did you not listen to the call?? They said they plan on a loss... But 1Q was even worse to the "planed loss".... But with out the wx cancels they were on target to hit the budget.. The "planned loss"...

This is not a bad thing. Just means they need to cut the cpa thats not working, and negotiate it into a profit.. Chip is good at that...

Red meat for the institutional shareholders. It's just a short term for the sake of stock price. The plan is still to park all of XJT's aircraft and transfer the 700/900 (with ASA pilots and their seniority) to Skywest.

I did listen to the call and never did I hear a "planned loss concept" stated by anyone. It was stated they "planned a loss" for that quarter.

So stating "chip is a finance guy, not good for XJT and the loss concept" really is just flaming. The plan is to park planes or renegotiate terms. Nothing we haven't known for a very long time.
