No joke, I flew with a FO who said he made $70k the previous year. I almost spit out my coffee. The amount you would have to work as a junior FO lineholder to earn that is insane. The guy was a commuter with marital issues and I could see why...he was never home! The most I ever made as an FO was mid 50s and I thought I worked a decent amount for that.

Our work rules and pay aren't bad. It's a hard decision to give up a schedule of doing all locals and standups making 100k/year and go back to reserve for the chance to make 150k. I'm definitely going to try to move on, but I can see where a lot of people are coming from who don't know if they want to.
If our company were treating us like RAH, Eagle or 9E treat their employees then a lot more people would be moving on.

This is probably not true for the most part, but there were circumstances in the past that made this very attainable, when we were extremely short staffed. Back in the summer of '07 they offered time and a half for ANY open time picked up at ANY time in any base. They would even deadhead you elsewhere and pay time and a half for that as well if you desired. Living in SFO, I could routinely find three day trips in ORD and upon calling, scheduling would deadhead me to ORD and back to fly the entire trip for junior man pay. That would routinely be 25 hours plus at time and a half, so I could see how it could be accomplished in that scenario. In today's day and age, I just don't see it happening.
