You're right, damned if you do, damned if you don't. Hopefully, others see this and walk away from any type of concession talk.
It'll be interesting watching hiring unfold this year. Will PSA or Mesa ect be able to attract new hires now that SKW and hopefully others raise the bar for pay/bennies? Time will tell....

You're right; that explains my incessant posting about how ALPA National is laden with problems and nearly worthless at the regional level.
During a time of profit at your company, they've only offered you 1%, and slightly above industry average rates for 76 seaters (for the 175s). That was my point.
Cool your jets.

You are missing the big picture, this is is a 1 year agreement that gets rid of the BHO override for the E175. That's huge and if the fleet transitions to more of that a/c type as it seems is the plan, then it will be a significant win for the pilots. Right now every RJ pilot gets paid crj base rates for vacation, user, deadhead, cancellation etc. The company wanted this for the E175 too. Just locking this in and not taking a concession in hourly rates is a big win. Remember Skywest has hundreds of these airplanes on order and has said repeatedly this is their plan to replace the crj 200.
These new pay rates for the E175 are also higher than Compass rates. They also go to 20 years, Compass ends at 18. Republic ends at 19.
SKYW. Compass. Republic.
10 yr $86.82. $86. $ 90
18yr. $109.53. $ 107. $ 114
20yr.$ 113.50. $ 107. $ 116
Not to mention the highest FO pay scale in the industry. E175 FO pay scale that is 8 yrs compared to 4 at republic and goes to 48.60 compared to $44 at compass and $37 at republic.
A second year turbo prop FO at Skywest will get 37.15/hr , more than the highest FO pay on the E190 at republic. That's a huge win and a much needed pay raise for the junior guys.

Got my old ti-83 out of the drawer and figured up our new rates (don't have our individual copies of the contract yet).
SKW / CPZ
10:86.82 / 87.02
18:109.53 / 108.51
It looks like our new rates are slightly higher than the SKW new rates in years 1-14.
Also, what is the justification for having the CRJ-900 pay more than the E175? What will be the seat configuration for UAL? It's a heavier airplane capable of carrying more people than the -900. I'm guessing that (lower overall rates) was a trade for having said rates apply to all soft time.

Regional Industry is shrinking.... OO pilots will remain the darlings of management for staying non union... in part just make the facade argument that unions ruin companies as we've already seen on this thread.... give a paltry raise and they believe they are custodians of a standard....
Market forces will impact OO..... and there will be no protections....

Any of you guys have a copy of your proposed TA to share? Some of us a XJT want to draft a comparison against our pile of crap that was proposed. ALPA is useless and it will take them a day before vote close to show us anything.

No. What was going to be imposed was a thousand times worse. Would you want the bar lowered anymore? Because that's what your advocating. If you really are former Pinnacle like someone else claims you have to be the most uneducated person on the process I've ever come across.
