Compare that with the deal our peers have been offered at XJT, Eagle, Pinnacle and PSA within the past 12 months and a 1% raise is a lot more than most people would have expected. Clearly it's not an amazing raise, but it proves that there's no reason anyone should be taking concessions right now.

It's entertaining to me that there have been 6 months worth of "stop the whipsaw" and "down with PSA" type posts on these forums, yet when one company actually does stop the whipsaw the response is "what you only got a 1% raise? how terrible!"

PSA / Endeavor still think you had no choice?

Some will never see the big picture...
Pinnacle was in bankruptcy. Why in the world would management give raises and create an industry leading contract in bankruptcy? Do you understand what bankruptcy means? It means a judge imposes, IMPOSES, imposes...let me say it again...imposes a concessionary contract upon a pilot group if there is no agreement on concessions from the pilots. How can you compare 9E and PSA? PSA is NOT in bankruptcy and took concessions anyway. They're the dumb ones. So no, there was no choice in whether or not 9E took concessions. You will never see the big picture because that SKW kook aid is super potent.

Stop being negative.
False. Compass pilots got a 1.25% raise last month with the new contract. Also increases per diem (not by much), increased DHD pay, etc.

Oops, didn't realize that. My bad. Glad to hear they are going in the right direction as well. Why wasn't their increase more publicized?

You are missing the big picture, this is is a 1 year agreement that gets rid of the BHO override for the E175. That's huge and if the fleet transitions to more of that a/c type as it seems is the plan, then it will be a significant win for the pilots. Right now every RJ pilot gets paid crj base rates for vacation, user, deadhead, cancellation etc. The company wanted this for the E175 too. Just locking this in and not taking a concession in hourly rates is a big win. Remember Skywest has hundreds of these airplanes on order and has said repeatedly this is their plan to replace the crj 200.

These new pay rates for the E175 are also higher than Compass rates. They also go to 20 years, Compass ends at 18. Republic ends at 19.

SKYW. Compass. Republic.
10 yr $86.82. $86. $ 90
18yr. $109.53. $ 107. $ 114
20yr.$ 113.50. $ 107. $ 116

Not to mention the highest FO pay scale in the industry. E175 FO pay scale that is 8 yrs compared to 4 at republic and goes to 48.60 compared to $44 at compass and $37 at republic.
A second year turbo prop FO at Skywest will get 37.15/hr , more than the highest FO pay on the E190 at republic. That's a huge win and a much needed pay raise for the junior guys.

I'm just sitting back, waiting for Nevets' two cents. I don't feel this thread would be complete without it.

PaxHauler85 is a known union kool air drinker that hates all things SkyWest. If we took concessions, he'd be complaining that we are undercutting ExpressJet. If we had a 50% increase in pay across the board, he'd complain that it's a scheme to make ExpressJet pilots vote no on their contract and lose flying.

There is no satisfying somebody like that. The sad thing is he doesn't even work for SkyWest inc at all.

A "why I hate Skywest Airlines" thread is coming soon...I can just see it!

Either they love to hate you or hate to love you.

Who needs to IMPOSE anything, when 85% voted yes?
