Right, but they used the money SkyWest employees helped make for those nice folks in SGU. Hence...
And its not really about seniority, or unions, its about culture. The nice folks in SGU don't want your sour grapes chumming up their clean ocean water.

Anyway, that's what fences are for.

Actually I was purchased by INC (ASA) way before you even went over to Skywest from Pinnacle or even started at Pinnacle for that matter. Anyway, the point is that in order to have an end to the whipsaw, there has to be unity between all of us. You are more worried about your seniority than anything else because you believe that it doesn't effect you. DOH is not the only way towards integration and I hope you know that. A lot of us would give up ALPA altogether if it meant that we can have a combined group with an in house union.

Ok, one pilot group, with fences. L-XJT almost completely disappears as the 145s make a mass exodus for IGM. Now what? Layoff the L-XJT guys because there's nowhere for them to go, right?

"Nice Folks" is a euphemism (google that word if you need to). Kind of like saying "the nice folks at the FAA"...
What I was SAYING was that Inc, not the SKW pilot group, bought your company.
But this entire discussion is just re-arranging deck chairs on the Titanic. The regional game is rigged, there's no way to play and win. The only way to win is to get out. That means a major airline for most of us, or maybe truck driving school for a few. If you must insist on being a regional lifer, plan on starting over slinging gear for 19K/year every decade or two. The regional game is only valid for those who use it to get the experience they need to move on. I can think of two regionals who really stood up for themselves, ACA and COMAIR.
The only way this would change is if major pilots bring their feeders onto their list...but remember, they gain financially too by low regional wages: More of the pie for them, so don't hold your breath on that.
Here ya go...

The need to have a change isn't because we all expect to be a lifer, it is also for those who come after us.

Heaven forbid they assimilate some people who think for themselves.
Good luck Expressjet guys, you have 2 hurdles to clear. 1) Inc. management, and 2) the SKW pilot group.
