Clearly you aren't aware of how the bankruptcy worked and I don't care about your worthless law degree. It makes no difference here. We fought the battle in court and won on 3 occasions. The judge sided with the union 3 times and finally said the company's proposal would be approved if they tweaked it slightly...which would have been way worse than the final agreement. For example, the judge would have approved paying newly upgraded captains year 1 pay even though they had years, sometimes up to 8 years, of longevity with the company. Can you imagine what that would have done to the industry? The list goes on and on. YEs, the judge could have imposed that upon the pilot group if a better deal wasn't negotiated. I think you must have been sleeping in law class when you learned about bankruptcy and contract law. It's basic 101 law knowledge so I'm thinking you may have wasted a lot of money. Sucks.
As frustrating as this industry can be and given the sheer volume of Monday morning quarter backing that goes on I tend to try and stay out of conversations like this on forums. I am going to retreat back to this idea and leave it at that. Wish everyone well in 2014 and keep the greasy side down!

I don't see anywhere near that kind of pressure on anyone else.

I don't think anyone is bashing the culture of SKW. Yeah lots of kool aid is consumed but that's just because there's a lot of pride in the company by the pilots. Honestly management treats you better than most regionals' management. The issue some have on here is when those ignorant people post things that are just flat wrong and ill informed about what has taken place at other airlines. Posting false claims and pretending to understand what it's like to be at an airline that's in bankruptcy and being threatened to be shut down in a matter of months (straight from delta managements mouth). It's more complicated than most understand.

It's really not. PCL pilots CHOSE to lower the bar for the industry.
