Because everyone keeps saying how 9E is the reason behind lowing he bar and inhibiting you and everyone else from getting raises or more significant raises. Once you and others stop blaming 9E and their bankruptcy concessionary contract we will stop educating you on how it's the PSA pilots you need to blame.

As for this pay package, the pay for the 175 is not equal to the 900 pay, in my opinion. The small pay give aways for medical, etc, are just that. Give aways. Designed to make the pill easier to swallow. Months of concession talk makes this offer seem generous when it's not. Also, doesn't really seem like upper management is leading by example here. What has their pay structure done these past months? I'm betting this $2M for the 3200 pilots is about what was also handed out to just a few people at the top.
If they want to tell us the 175 flying (the future of SW) needs to be less than Republic, fine. Let's discuss that. But don't paint it like its equal to 900 pay when it's not.

Maybe YOU never heard it but thats how it is and always was. And there is no pride in our working conditions whatsoever. None of us HAS to justify our vote to you. Its just that so many are completely misinformed on the exact circumstances that led to the outcome. But to each his own if you want to be angry at us and continue to believe that us voting no would have benefited you.

This might be the be the biggest game of chess I've seen.
Complete conjecture here but this could be sgu's strategic maneuver against other regional carriers and the pilots are just happy recipients.
A. Can't come close to cutting pay and costs enough to begin to compete with the bottom feeders.
B. They have the cash to go all in on staffing the airline durning the regional staffing pinch, which results in continuation of premium contracts for lift.
C. In one year they can either cut and dive for the bottom like psa, or double down.
D. First year pay left unchanged. I fully expect a hiring bonus to be announced.
With that lift they may be able to throw back against big daddy-d's reset.
Wildcard: the expressjet ta, do they want a no vote and why?

I will say I think this will have ramifications down the road...It's only a year long, doesn't make any sense. Is it just a piece of crap masked by more $$$ (short term cost for skw) so the pilots to take the bait? What does management see that the pilots don't? Check and mate?

What's it like to be completely clueless?

But the real kicker was when Delta Management took over the "negotiations" and point blank told us to sign or we would be shut down.

Plenty said it, you just couldn't hear it over the sound of your chest thumping....

That's easy, I worked at 9L and was about to be thrown into the fun house known as 9E. I think I had a right to comment on actions by pinnacolaba. You and others haven't worked at or know the culture here at SKW.
