Nice contribution. I hope you're not still at mesa, cuz that is surely one black pot.
I'm not a koolaid drinker either. In the grand scheme of things this is barely holding the line. The only real raise is for entry-level pilots, whom the company is going to have trouble attracting and retaining on the bro anyway.
The money they did throw our way (medical, per diem) is all tax deductable for the employees so subtract 30% of that to account for the lost tax deduction.
The only significant win was breaking the BHO paradigm.
But with all that said it's still better than the massive concessions which other groups are rolling over for.

Me thinks the crystal ball is saying bye-bye to the BRO after the "ratification" of the new pay rates.

The bro is probably going to out last the 200s.. There's an EAS market for it and it's more profitable than putting a 200 on those routes. We just bought a brasilia back a few months ago.

Judging by the law of un-inteneded consequences you are probably correct. Most people are so narrow minded they fail to think about this type of stuff. Kinda of like if eagle takes conssesions skywest will probably see much fewer 175's.

It's something I'm a little miffed about.

Agreed. Not being ungrateful, but I think we are worth more than this.

Pinnacle was in bankruptcy. Why in the world would management give raises and create an industry leading contract in bankruptcy? Do you understand what bankruptcy means? It means a judge imposes, IMPOSES, imposes...let me say it again...imposes a concessionary contract upon a pilot group if there is no agreement on concessions from the pilots. How can you compare 9E and PSA? PSA is NOT in bankruptcy and took concessions anyway. They're the dumb ones. So no, there was no choice in whether or not 9E took concessions. You will never see the big picture because that SKW kook aid is super potent.

Not comparing, just pointing out that there are choices and a big picture. When you have something relevant to say please feel free to PM me.
