Sounds kind of like Hoot County Saloon in Houston that became a well frequented establishment during training at Expressjet. I hope I will becoming familiar with it as well ....Well not too familiar....

Thanks for the info guys. I'll be there on the 18th, here's to hoping for good news. I'm furlough fodder where I am now, and SKyWest would give my fiancé and I a better opportunity to make it back to the West coast than whee I am now. What's the latest word on hiring plans, movement, rumors, etc?

Here's the drive-by shooting answers:
Hiring: Keep going indefinitely.
Movement: Nearly no retirements, so this depends on Delta, United and others. There has to be a thousand of us with resumes out. (Not necessarily because this is a bad place.)
Rumors: SkyWest has a bid in with AMR. LCC flying to increase. If they merge it could be good for SkyWest.
None of this is substantiated. Good luck interviewing, though.

I was in the comfort suites for training. We saw interviewees almost every night and helped them out when they had questions. It's a nice hotel with a good free breakfast and you'll get a good interview gouge from the guys in training there. The free breakfast is great before the interview.
About 75% of the people in the hotel are guys in initial or recurrent training though. Don't do anything dumb and be careful if you go to Lofte's for dinner. Everyone in there is generally SkyWest too.
