Yeah, I volunteered on local committees, a national committee, been a status rep on the MEC, and even helped your organizing committee in 2007. So I've actually have helped you guys try to unionize instead of just complaining here about abuses and dream about utopia. People need to do work, not just talk. That's all I'm saying. If you and others are actively organizing, then I apologize. I haven't heard of any kind of organizing campaign and in fact, I asked two Skywest pilots about it on Friday. I asked one of my friends there a few weeks ago and all of them have said there is nothing that they have heard.

I'd love to see something get started. I voted yes last time, I voted for MM even though I had no idea it would be this bad and I would vote yes again.

Hello guys,
Just received an offer for the CRJ or 175.
I understand only 2 bases (ORD and SFO) are open for now correct?
How long would it take for a new hire to hold a line on the 175?
I assume there is not too much variety in trips yet for the 175. What do the lines look like?
As far as training where are they doing the sim for the 175? Any delays?
Thanks!

But you're going about this wrong way..sounds like you're trying to talk yourself into taking the 175, to get some engine-under-wing-time. Instead tell us what your lifestyle issues are, and where you want to live and we can estimate which airplane might work better for you.

There's PDX and SEA 175 too opening this summer but I bet that goes pretty senior. For more variety and lots more bases, I'd go with the CRJ as I tell all new hires. Unless you actually live in ORD or SFO and don't plan on leaving.

A new-hire taking the 175 now, unless they are going to ORD, will be stuck at the bottom of their base list for a very long time.
As for 175 bases...
ORD
SFO
PDX -- opening very soon (newhires can forget it, it appears to now be our most senior base depending on how you run the numbers)
SEA -- opening very soon (same comment as PDX)
DEN -- there's been talk of the 175 going there, but no announcements as of yet.
