If someone is stupid enough to log PIC while sitting in the right seat, well let them continue. That should help shorten the line to the majors and give the recruiters something to laugh at.

well put. i have read the mentions of this, and sure don't understand it. i mean, who do they think they'd be fooling? and why would anyone want to fool anyone?

i guess this will actually make the interview process harder for all of us, because we'll all have to somehow prove our hours because there will be people trying to fake it? i guess i don't get it.

The only place I've ever heard of FO's logging PIC time is on here. Alot like earbuds and backpacks I think it's pretty rare.

All this talk about FOs Logging PIC time is a non issue, I find that here on APC people make statements and others take it as gospel and get their undies in a tizzy, calm down folks I don't think our profession is plagued with an abundance of Tim Martins......

Exactly. I just went through a transition class combined with new hires, and NOBODY was under the impression they can log PIC time now that they have PIC types. There might be the usual 5% idiots making comments, but overall I'd say Internet myth = busted.

Does anyone have any super current hiring info? I am desperately hoping to get a call so I can leave my current carrier.

This is easy to spot (former interviewer/logbook reviewer here) since the applicant will point out the time for you. Example - I see you have PIC time in aircraft X, how long where you a captain on that aircraft? I didn't notice that on your resume.

I saw this one time. We didn't view it favorably.
