I took the targeted line holders for February (137) and looked up the hire date of FO #137 on the seniority list. I was pretty sure when I posted it that there are a lot more line holders in DEN but that would be the most junior person I could guarantee has a line without talking to other junior pilots in DEN.

Do not underestimate the "power" of JA's convictions. I will wager that JA will chain the doors shut on Expressjet before he merges lists.
SKYW is in the codeshare partners view, currently Inc, employs 1/3 of the regional pilots and by default 1/3 of the entire regional airline sectors flying. Inc. is the singularly most important piece on the chess board. The airline that manages to control Inc., will control their competitions feed. Now that the major sector is done consolidating, the next phase is the regional sector. SKYW Inc.'s market cap is small enough to be interesting and is far too small to ignore in relationship to its consequences for the majors competitors. Think about how the non-acquiring partner would be affected if, for example UAL acquired SKYW Inc. and then controlled SKYW DAL feed, or vice versa or LUV or AA its becoming interesting.

You need to also look at the ASE pairing/line page, because the pilots in DEN cover ase as well. That has the number of Aspen lines, and reserve lines. I was hired mid 2013 and have a classmate now in DEN holding an ASE line. Several friends junior to me in DEN holding a normal line.

how worried are you guys, (and your management?) that skywest hasn't been awarded any of the large rj flying recently, but only getting 50 seat scraps? gojet just got 7 more 900's, and i'm assuming that those 12 delta 200's are on short term contracts
correction: i guess you did get 7 e175's from alaska, but my question still stands

We currently have a tool in place to bid for and honor seniority with temporary domicile transfer. However, that would require us to have adequate staffing across the board, and move pilots for a month at a time. Since we can't see any further than the end of the day, this is not used.
Proffering would allow pilots to fly planes (which we really want to do) and free up SS for other functions. But in true SW fashion, we will continue to step over dollars to pick up that shiny penny. So much waste and dysfunction at the SS level.

"We" pilots are the help, you would be better off becoming more emotionally attached to a sports team, airlines are businesses and by default hate your very existence, you are expensive and they hate that fact. Those 175s could be staffed by Expressjet pilots and there is nothing you can do about it. Ever notice that the Expressjet/ASA 700s have the "Operated by Skywest Inc." on the side? 4D chess vs checkers!
