I'm at Eagle and the ship appears to be sinking. I'm not jumping early but just planning for the worse.

Oh I see, that makes sense.

If ATPs are given on initial, I assume all new hires have 1500 or more? Are you guys having trouble filling classes yet?

Currently still hiring candidates without the ATP minimums, but those newhires will not be eligible for the ATP (obviously) until they meet the ATP mins. Of course, hiring of candidates with their ATP could change at anytime for new hires.

As far as filling classes, to my understanding not a major problem at this point. But the washout rate seems to be increasing. A SMALL indication of the "just meeting the mins," sometimes does not work in your favor.

Any rumors on trends for the washouts or it "just wasn't their time"?

That being said, I believe Bro classes stay at the Comfort Suites (that's where my class stayed for differences). I heard second hand that the class two after mine got put in the Radisson across the street. If that's the case you're in luck because that's a pretty nice place.
You're forgetting the new-hire passing out and crapping all of the floor and wall.

Varies with the individual. Some do not pass the systems exam. Some that make it through the systems exam don`t make it through sim. And a few do not get through IOE.

Keep in mind that the SkyWest training department will bend over backwards to get somebody through that is making a good effort. Last year we had a guy in our class that struggled through pretty much every portion (systems, sim, and IOE). But he busted his ASS despite the challenges he faced, and believe me it was noticed. They got him through, and from what I understand he's doing great now.

Heard that some recent classes had a few that struggled, but all are out on IOE or the line now. Supposedly new-hires get a bank of sim time and three strikes before getting the pink slip.

Rumor has it that the test to NOT fail is the initial limitations/memory quiz, although there might be a few exceptions for those that didn't get the study guide until immediately before the class.
