The Ejets (170,175,190) are the same basic type. Differences training for the 190 required because of, for one, the auto brakes on the 190. At least that was it for the wife.

That's what I thought, just differences. Maybe I read the original post incorrectly too. No different than getting typed in a CRJ, DC-9, or 757/767. Do the ride in one and differences as required.

Anyone have a snapshot of what it's like being based in Seattle? Trips, equipment, qol? How's reserve? Is SEA expanding at all? It'd be greatly appreciated! I ask because I'm wanting to try something new and get away from my hometown for a year or two since I've been there just about all of my life and I know everyone up there is really friendly! Thanks.

What the difference between the autobrakes on 175 as opposed to 190?
#8066
None. Auto brakes are the same. Options on the 170 and standard on the 190 but if installed they are identical. Unlike the CRJ200 v 700 which has different systems (fuel, elec, etc) not to mention the leading edges, there is no difference between the 170 and 190. There are a few additions such as tail strike protection using the RA and rate limiter, and the over wing exits and a few others but I don't consider them nearly as different as the CRJ differences.

What's the 200? Been lucky to have not flown one in over a year. Getting spoiled down here in Texas but would be happy to trade some of this Mexico flying. Still messed up about the lax crews and the BJX trips and how it's being paid.

I'm the opposite of you. I'm at 3 years seniority and I have less than 100 hours in the 700 and 900 combined. Any trip on one goes super senior here even if it's a 16 hour 4 day. The last time I flew the 700 (to BJX of all places) I debated asking the captain to take all the landings because I was scared of the damn thing.

90% of my flying is 700, it's a tough sucker to land even for us experienced veterans. It's not near as stable as the 900 and has the same strut gear for less weight which equals Kaboom! Don't feel bad about it. I've seen some very nasty landings from some 10 plus yr capts and had my fair share of them too.
