Rumor has it, ORD base will substantially reduce operations on united express side. To minimal that is. All the flying will be conducted by Express jet. Whereas Skywest will increase its concentration on delta side along with acquiring the US airway flying of 7 and 900's from Mesa, whose contract is due for expiration.

Straight from the SKW website:

The following are minimums in order to be considered:
1,000 - hours total time (preferred)
100 - hours multi engine
100 - hours instrument (no more than 20 hours simulator will be accepted)
Thanks so hood + actual + 20 max sim ..

First those 700 & 900 Mesa contracts don't expire until 2015, second according to RG ORD has hit the min and will not be cut anymore and third if we swap UAL SKW flying for DAL ASA flying then where's our ATL base?

Mesa does not operate 700s for US Airways. The 700s they have are for UAL.

I have an interview with Skywest in a few weeks and am wondering if anyone could tell me where new hires are likely to be domiciled?

Also, how senior is Portland, OR (PDX). Or Milwaukee (MKE). I have family in both places and would have convenient crash pads.

Thanks

PDX is somewhat junior for Bro FO's. The bottom guy has been here about six months, the 50% guy about a year. The jet...almost five years for plug FO.

MKE closed when the airtran thing went away. There is an MSP base which is pretty junior (jet only).

Interesting! Looks like they might be testing to see how it works having the Salt Lake Bro flying covered by other Bro bases for when we get the RJ approved into Sun Valley.
