Ok hammer boy, I can spell just fine, this and other forums have blocking software, but you knew that, right? My high school, 4 year college degree and post grad education was just good enough to get me through life, sorry mr. spelling bee. You and the others who come on here and crow about "making it" are no different than many who came before. Do you think I am typing these wildly unpopular themes for fun? The reality is like I said before, I have sat next to your types for more than a few years, and you want to know the common thread? You all follow a predictable script, it would be funny if it weren't so predictable. I walked the same path as you, 9/11 happened and you know the rest of the story, stagnation and a career interrupted. So, rather than blow smoke up your butt, I interject a little cynical reality into an otherwise rainbow and unicorn infested "gee you sure do look smart in your new hat and dinner jacket" mutual admiration society. So by all means keep drinking the Kool-Aid, while it tastes sweet now, it becomes bitter with every "reserve rewrite" and Anita sponsored tater stretching. Sorry you will have to carry your own water, that's life.

I hate to interrupt this nice conversation but just wanted to put in a good word for Skywest s employment dept. I interviewed yesterday and it's for REAL. They are looking for good guys and good pilots, no exceptions. Nice to know what the screening process is like. I have 4700 Tt and 1900 TPIC but my instrument work was rough in the sim.
They politely said no thanks.

Yeah , they said I could come back in a week or two and just do sim again. I'm very critical of myself. Haven't decided if i deserve another shot or not. VERY good group of guys and pilots. Disappointed with my sim performance but very impressed with the company and their philosophy

I guarantee you and I have never walked the same path. I and many others like me were in places you only saw in your nightmares while you were trying to enhance your "career". The mere fact that you view the occurences of 9/11 as a career interruption is representative of your character. You are an amusement.

You aren't that amusing, actually kind of pathetic.

Yes sir I do. I knew what was coming and should have been prepped accordingly. There were no surprises, I shoulda passed.

Good time for a rethink, if you really want to do this or not. Airline flying isn't really flying, its an endurance test, you either like the lifestyle or you hate it. But make no mistake, its not really flying, its moving people with an airplane. Like aerial application is putting chemicals on crops, you use a plane to put said chemicals on the crops. If you don't like being on the road, sleeping in hotels and having a wildly variable schedule airline flying might not be for you. Only you can decide.

You and "many others", tell us all about you adventures as a Navy Seal and how you saved the world with your awesome ninja like skills. Too bad you can neither spell that well, nor understand a metaphor, but that's OK. BTW being a Mall Security guard before SKYW is ok, but don't think that that was saving the world for democracy, OTH, I hear the Blue Light Specials were crazy.
You aren't that amusing, actually kind of pathetic.
