My "attitude" with the 40k numbers is that sour spot on the seniority list that think because they spent 2 years on reserve, their dues are paid, guess what you aren't nearly as good as you think. My issues are when I let some 40k numbskull roll towards OKC and 60 miles out they are still cruising along fat dumb and happy at 39000 and no ATIS read, nor even asked for, no thought to descent planning. I asked him at 90 miles if he was gonna get down on time, he said yup. Let's say we had a long downwind.
The joke is I aint even that good, just good enough to survive stuff that killed more than a few of my coworkers. If you wanna go into the night freight stuff we can go there too if you like. I am trying to convey to some, that getting hired is just the start of a long learning process the ends when you retire, but you shuttle commanders know all that stuff, right?
congrats, you have flown all sorts of regional airplanes...get over yourself.

you are going to fly with good FOs and bad FOs thats just the nature of the beast....but you seem like you are on an unwarranted high horse.

BlaBlaBla,
Your reading powers are staggering, day drinking is a hobby. My "high horse" was pointing out that airline flying is the easiest flying out there, and if one can't figure that one out, well.....
Airline flying requires a flying capability only just slightly better than Marvin Renslow had, to do a full career without too many bumps all you gotta do is:
#1- Not crash
#2- Pass a few check-rides
Staggeringly simple, but apparently some don't get it. I had one of the amazing 40k guys on one of my RLCs start arguing with one of our hotter headed LCAs over Mach transition changeover. The F/O was on probation and when the LCA stated they could continue the conversation in SLC after checking in with the chief pilot, he shut his pie hole. My debrief was in private and consisted of one question, "how come you haven't strangled him yet" my reply was "I don't get spooled up over the small chit" Ya'all just don't get it, this isn't Naval Aviation or Edwards Flight Test, it's airline flying, and it ain't that hard, in fact it's quite mediocre, and if you can't get that, oh well.

I guess you missed the part where I said "most" guys do just fine, but when they are bad, either skills or attitude wise, it's breathtaking. If ones flying leaves the other guy wondering "is he gonna make that crossing restriction, speed restriction or stabilized approach" and then miss it by a couple hundred feet, 10 kts, or get it configured at 950 feet, you just aren't that good, in a process that requires basic mediocrity.
Then to come on the interwebs and spout off about their mad skills at 2 years of reserve and 3 whole years online, is interesting at best.

Blocking my posts would be a fine start, Oh, wizard of the interwebs. The only thing you are probably doing is applying "product", shellac or whatever that crap is that you put in your hair so you look like you just woke up. Newsflash the F/A population, especially the younger ones, have quite a few, who's primary goal is to snag a husband or baby daddy. One of the things that being here for awhile is it allows one to watch behaviors. I have watched numerous F/As troll for F/Os, because many of the Capts that aren't hooked up with F/As are wise to the scam. One of the guys I flew with decided that the regular F/A he was flying with and hung out with was pretty cool and started banging her on a regular basis, problem occurred when he knocked her up and his wife was served his paternity paper work. He came home to his stuff out on the driveway and ended up with 800.00 monthly child support and what amounts to adjustable alimony. The judge wanted to make sure his wife got her share of his upgrade money...
Do the math, stick it in a F/A at your own peril, having a child with someone ties you to them for the rest of your life, so when you look down at that hot High School Grad F/A, who has her hand around your unwrapped schlong, and is guiding it towards her baby maker, ask yourself, when you were in high school, she was one of the ones/types who laughed at you in the cafeteria, what has changed.
Nothing, except your future earning potential and her future at Red Robin.

You'll impress me more planning your slowdown and descent early than you will pretending to be the space shuttle commander.
The discussion was about what can the plane do. That's it. You're getting mixed up between a general discussion about performance and SOP.

Now you're angry at the FAs? Good grief. Freaking nutcase.
