Default How long after the interview?

I was wondering how long Skywest is taking after the interview to contact you regarding weather or not you have been hired. I've been waiting almost two weeks. I'm going crazy every time my phone rings. Can someone help a guy out and tell me this is normal?

I interviewed about two weeks ago and still waiting. I've talked to a few others and its the same scenario. A buddy of mine waited 2 1/2 weeks, called them, and waited another week before getting his formal offer. Try not to sweat it, their really backed up right now.

I waited two weeks then called them. They said they would look into it and I got a welcome aboard E-Mail 10 minutes later. If it's been over two weeks then calling them won't hurt.

I was notified several hours after the interview.

Anywhere from 60 seconds to 60 days.

At what point in class do you find out your base assignment? In the last couple of CRJ classes, where have folks been placed?

a lot of folks going to MSP or IAH. those tend to be the bases that are trying to expand. preference will be given to current pilots for PHX and then it will open up to new hires if they dont have enough pilots. in MSP you will fly your butt off, in IAH you will do long trips (mainline stuff) and PHX you will do the old mesa Dash routes. PHX is going to expand big time by summer of this year (more than double) and IAH will continue to grow until UCON decides to increase/keep/reduce the scope. good luck in class! and have fun while you are there!

Sometimes, SkyWest will just wait and see who really wants it by calling them. They have been selective in thier hiring lately (apparently) so they want to know that you want the job. pm me if you need help getting a name and phone number

We found out the last week of systems. Entire class before mine got IAH, my entire class got MSP, but there are already people moving around to various places. I think DEN, COS, and FAT aren't terribly hard to hold within the first few months, but that is always changing I'm sure. ORD is still relatively junior but all indications are it's shrinking in lieu of growth in MSP and IAH, so it's currently more senior on the very bottom end than any of the other places I've mentioned. If and when Phoenix grows more there very well may be even more shuffling.
