When I was hired it was six months to upgrade. And that was in '08. Now, I would imagine that it's still a couple of years out. If they are only at 27k numbers for the upgrade to the RJ, then it's still going to be a little far out. I havn't seen any upgrades to the EMB lately though, are they still doing those?

Obviously I can't predict the future. Current attrition and growth doesn't support a quick upgrade for a new-hire FO, but exactly what that number is remains to be seen.
Would I like to see upgrades trend junior? Yes, I need as many guys junior to me in the left seat as possible.

Well, at least its moving in the right direction. We will see how it plays out in the near future, that is, within the next 18 months.

Yep, I agree. I'm cautiously optimistic... Meaning I'm working on my backup plan and will be pleasantly surprised if things work out here.

I got mine today. I can't take it though. When they told me 6 months ago to expect a call in April, I took a contract position. I can't break the contract. So hopefully they will keep me in the pool until a May or later class.

Now lets see about getting some more upgrade emails, huh? That would be nice. But I just cant see that many senior guys leaving and going elsewhere. It seems that whatever hiring was going on has been coming to a stop again. And I agree with you WRX, plan B is developing strongly!
