What stones did I throw? Do you disagree with my views on what your company is doing? I have seen this movie before, do not wait to act as it will come on deaf ears when its to late.

I know at least a few pilots at just about every regional in the US and it might shock people to find out that all of them are the same.

So it's SkyWest mainline as opposed to the SkyWest regional? How do I get a job with the mainline portion? Surely the pay and work rules are better. Maybe it's the guys who fly the new shiny 175s? that's gotta be it.

Where did the term mainline when referring to SKW employees even come from? I've never once heard anyone refer to a SKW pilot as mainline other than on these forums. I assume that was started by someone at another regional and has never been said by a SKW pilot.

Those that have been at Skywest have known about the inside playfull rivalry between bro vs CRJ that we even had videos to mock each other during training.

I've only seen it used on these boards. It's certainly not something I cooked up. I've seen it used in the context of Skywest Airlines being referred to as "mainline" within the group of airlines vs. XJT. Anyway, I have never flown for any of the referenced carriers, but I've seen a LOT of derogatory comments on this forum over the years by Skywest pilots directed toward XJT pilots. I suppose a few from the old ASA operation are doing the same thing. Granted, I'm guessing it's only a very small, vocal minority of pilots relative to the very large group flying for Skywest who actually feel that way, but the tone comes through loud and clear - and it's one of implied superiority over the pilots who fly for the other two divisions.
Heck, I have three friends who fly for Skywest, and even THEY notice it amongst some of their fellow pilots.

I can't imagine that out on the line, most pilots give a rip about the stuff that gets argued about on these forums all day long. All this talk about denying jumpseats, looking down at pilots from XX airline, et cetera...I gotta think that once you put on the uniform and go fly the line, all that c**p gets checked at the door. Yes? No? Guess I'm about to find out...
