I seriously hope your senior RJ captains are making more than 75k!

I made more than that my first year as an RJ captain and it wasn't even for a full 12 months!

I used to range from $110-120,000, but that's my point (and it sems Skywest is joining Eagle in soon having to confront that as per their hideous projected quarterly losses). The typical narrowbody mainline captain will be seeing about $150,000 in annual pay and that's for about 140 seats. A 70 seater can't generate enough revenue to pay a pilot $100,000 and in the future look for a sobering correction in senior regional pilot pay.

You may make that today, but I'll bet in 5 years you won't. The typical 76 seater will pay about $75,000 for a 12 year captain within the next 5 years.

I heard from the training department we are running classes of 20 each month all year. Maybe more if need be.

I had someone from UND tell me today that they have reduced mins at SKW since they have RJ training - they are at 800TT/50ME now. However, I thought SKW had a hard and fast 1000TT/100ME/100INST regardless of where you got your ratings. Anyone have any insight?

Those are preferred mins, in the past they have hired with less if you have RJ time from another 121 airline.

It's called the well is drying up, so they have to lower the mins... Of course all it takes is someone like Pinnacle or Eagle to flood the well.

*And by well drying up I mean people willing to work/start over at a regional for 1st year pay, I am not referring to a Pilot Sho******

Wow. You have your head in the sand. This is exactly what's wrong with pilot groups!

Base pay 75hr/mo = 900hr/year
$100,000/900=$111.11/70seats= $1.58 per pax seat, per hour. We aren't worth that?
