Maybe I'm missing something, but:
$90 * 150 = $13,500
$135 * 100 = $13,500
$250 * 20 = $5,000 (multi add-on)
$45 * 100 = $4,500 (instructor)
Total: $36,500
Instructor ratings can be had for less than $10k, and if you're goal is to be a career pilot, hold off on the degree until the time is right. I hate when that $100k number is quoted in articles etc., and why does ALL of it have to be debt. Are pilots really that financially incompetent?

I don't understand how they're horrible. Should I add more CFI time? Using those numbers you could spend 100 hours each on private and instrument and still have 50 left for commercial stuff. As a 141 instructor, I don't think I ever signed off a commercial student with more than 250 hours. The extra in Part 61 is mostly instrument and commercial XC.
How do you know I'm a dude?

You do know by your ignorant and unintelligent posts (this one especially) that you are making SKW look bad right? Stop talking now before you further damage the reputation of being an airline with good people. I have made fun of some pilots for not saying hi or whatever in the airports but your comments are flat out ridiculous.
Here I go again, feeding the troll. Comparing pilots with CS is so stupid. Call center reps vs. professionally trained and skilled aviators who have dedicated their lives to the profession.

Why is everyone so concerned in further damaging the reputation of a stepping stone regional?

Becuase the only way to upgrade and get out of the stepping stone regional is to get new hires to fill in the positions at the bottom. No new hires means no upgrades means no major job. It would be great for my career if we filled all new hire classes so it's probably bad for my career when people publicly make the company look bad even if it is just a regional.
