Yes, but that's not what your original claim was. This is your original claim.

This is incorrect. That's what I pointed out. As far as Delta having more wiggle room than UAL, I don't really see how. The scope clauses are pratically identical.

Also, I believe the CRJ 700s that GoJet operates under the DCI banner belong to DAL. Why would they park those in favor of E170/175s? I don't think that makes financial sense.

It's ok, like everyone else down in St. George, he lives in his own little bubble where there isn't much room for facts.

Not sure that's accurate. Delta gets killer deals so they are cheap. To aquire. That's why delta gets so many CRjs

I posted this in another thread, but I'm throwing it in here too hopefully to get some more responses.

What is the thought on SkyWest's upgrade times in the future? I have an offer in hand with them, and I am about 99% sure that I am going to take it. However I am a bit concerned about their very top heavy seniority list, and the amount of supposed lifers there.

I know you're not supposed the chase the quick upgrade, but it would be nice to go somewhere where I know it won't take 7 years to upgrade. Any thoughts on future SKW movement?

At 2.5 years seniority I'm 700 numbers away from the most junior captain. This month we upgraded 30 people. At 30 per month assuming every single person takes the first upgrade it will take me 23 more months to upgrade giving me a 4.5 year upgrade.

Remember no one was hired in 2008 and 2009 so our upgrade time artificially looks about 2 years higher than it actually is. As long as things keep moving you can expect it to drop under 5 years probably within the next year.

Once the new E2 comes out, the advantage switches back to the 175... the new updated version comes close, so it may be a wash now. But the 900 has 4-5% lower operating costs over the first generation 175.

I know for certain that people are getting hired with little or no turbine/jet/121 PIC time. Not saying it's not good to have, but may not be required for a gig at most majors.

They're first gen. The E2 won't be out for a few more years.

We actually have a second generation of the aircraft... but its not a complete update like the E2. The version SkyWest has (sans 103SY) has a 6.4% average fuel efficiency improvement over the original model. It includes a new winglet and aerodynamic clamps, as well as other upgrades such as LED lighting.

The E2 is more of a clean sheet aircraft that will be re-engined and have a new wing.
