Some people who just recently went to a job fair and spoke with the recruiters told me that Skywest isn't going to be interviewing between in February or March and they will start up interviews again in April. They said it's not due to a hiring stop. It's due to the fact that the class dates are so backed up that there's no point in interviewing more people and backing up class dates further. I think the CRJ class dates are out to August now. I know a few people that have June dates for sure.
I would expect that what I heard is true and they probably will start up the interviews again in April. They still seem to need more pilots.

10-12 Pilots a month seems reasonable for a company as big as 00. I would not be surprised to see it edge little higher by year end.[/QUOTE]
We had 163 leave last year according to the stuff on the SAPA forums. It wouldn't surprise me if we had over 200 leave in 2012.

It's more like 6-7 ppl a month and it's been that way for the past 4 years. I've been following it closely as I was 60 from the bottom for the past 3 years when hiring stopped three classes after my new hire class. 120 is double what it has been but we could see that this year if the majors start hiring I suppose.

This sounds about right. When hiring started back up about a year ago or so, all these guys are coming off seat locks now. There appears to be a lot of bro guys transitioning to the RJ. I got to be honest, I don’t how or why I keep moving up each month. My seniority seems to move 5 to 10 a month, *** are people going? Guess guys are just getting lost in airports on these epic sits we have now.
