I will also echo what a previous poster said: commuting to reserve is the worst lifestyle choice you can inflict on yourself. Of course you'll be miserable sitting a five day stint in a crash pad and getting called in to repo between DEN and COS. Living in domicile makes it less agonizing. And I do nothing but four day trips as a line holder, but the last year I sat reserve I counted 12 four day trips I flew in an entire year. That's a lot of nights at home that I don't get these days. There is a reason why a lot of people who can hold a line still choose to roll the dice and sit reserve.

On the flip side, reserve at SKW is much worse than my previous carrier. They are no longer in business though. Glad I was able to hit the up swing in hiring here and hold a line quick.

So I've been trying to apply on their website. Is there another way to do it? I've now submitted two applications, both of which say "incomplete" in my profile. Everything is filled out. Has anybody else had issues with this?

Similar thing happened to me. I just called a recruiter and he scheduled the interview right away. The guy wasn't sure why the website kept kicking things out.

Thanks for the thoughts guys. I'm excited to get started!
My next big decision to make is where I want to live. I'm planning a full-out move to wherever I choose (or am assigned) to be based.
I'm strongly considering COS and ORD (also MSP and DEN or maybe even IAH). Basically the more "junior" bases. It's going to be a mix of which city do I feel I want to live in (#1 factor) and the kind of flying that I'll get to do (how long to hold a line, how long are trips, etc).
I've asked this in the past but things change so fast. Anyone care to update me on how long to hold a line in COS and ORD? ORD I hear is pretty quick?

Odd.. Most people I know at other airlines don't have their systems come to a screeching halt when the bids go into Sked+. They also don't seem to have issues with PBS on a monthly basis that require either re-running the bids or pulling the bid awards offline. I'm not sure what there would be to miss about it.

The IT department has it's issues, for sure. And their default answer seems to be "can't be done" or "it will take 3 years". I mean, come on already. What's with the EFB!
But as someone who just left OO posted, the company invests a lot on tech and is probably light years ahead of most majors and regionals. Have you even seen AA's code book for their computers?
