It will come back and bite you in the butt. Don't give SKW that much credit because they are a regional airline just like all the rest. Inc needs to figure it out quickly because the bleeding is bad and getting worse.
Doing things like they've always done at SkyWest benefits management. Like how they convince the majority of the pilot group vote in a pay freeze and decrease just this last year. Management knows what they are doing and even though I don't like a lot of it, they always seem to be ahead of the game.

Yeah it is. He was all upset because SkyWest pilots don't smile or nod at him in SLC. He believes they're all mad about Compass moving in.

I offer to buy them Cafe Rio just so they know how welcome they are in Salt Lake. I love some competition, its good for the soul.

That statement only pertains to 60 airplanes within the first 100 ordered. Taking into account what's been said on previous conference calls it would be very surprising if Skywest did not fly most of these for AA. Mind you AA wanted Skywest to fly 175's before they wanted Republic to, but now the PSA mud skimmers have undercut eveyone by a large margin so who knows what will happen now.

Maybe so, but you have to tip your hat to OO management for being proactive, and not reactors, to the situation.

No but who do you think they are going to fly all these aircraft for? The number of large RJ's are limited per scope/CBA's at the Majors. United is already maxed out on the number of 76 seaters they can have, and Delta can't add that much more. It's not like they are just going to replace all the 145's or 200's with 175's...

With the size of SkyWest has it ever been discussed being its own airline and not flying for anyone else?
