Current class has 48 new hires, 13 bro fo transitions, and 4 bro ca transitions. Just finished systems today. Sims are split between slc, atl, and stl.

Which start date was that class? Just out of curiosity.

June 2nd. There are 10 or 11 that will have 4 or 5 weeks off waiting for sim availability.

Yowza. Is that typical? 5 weeks off? Seems like you'd forget some of your FTD stuff by the time you got into the sim...

I don't think that's typical, more a problem with the size of the class. Both the ftd and sim are delayed for those in that group.

Anyone happen to know if Skywest is allowing people to start training with less than 1000 hours? I know ExpressJet and possibly others would allow you to start with less due to up to 100 hours of simulator time being able to count for your 1000 hours for an R-ATP. For most people this would probably be around 950 or so. I was just curious because I have not seen it discussed on here previously.

Thanks!

Anyone flying the E175 out there!? I'd love to hear what life in training or on the line is like so far! Well run or still teething?

I think that if you got that aircraft that there'd be little to no movement and you could expect to be on reserve for a long time and a crappy bid afterward.
