CS is the exception. No, I haven't spent much time on reserve (very, very lucky - I know). But I've dealt with them enough to know better.

But our dispatchers, coordinators, mechanics, etc.? Good folks IMO.

I absolutely agree with you there though I think those groups of people shouldn't be put in the same category as CS. The people you listed are on our side for the most part. They also don't have the ability to screw with our lives as much as CS does even if they wanted to, and they would have no reason to want to.

The whole job of CS is to cover trips and help the company at any cost. They're absolutely not on our side. They won't do us any favors without us giving them double in return (IE a crewmember tells them they'll cover these 6 legs CS is about to cancel if they buy him a hotel room in base). Even then they're going to call 20 other people trying to get something for nothing before they give you anything. I've called them so many times telling them I'm willing to help them out and cover a red trip but I would either need a hotel room, or need about 3 hours to get there only to have their response be "we don't want to do that so we're going to call some other people and then we'll let you know." I only get a call back if no one else has a better bargaining chip.

I've yet to have that happen this past month. 5 days of JR man picked my days off and ended up working those days as well.

You mean like the "good folks" that try to get you to fly around all day in a 200 with one pack, in and out of 90+ degree locations?

That pretty much never happens. You seem to lack perspective, which is unfortunate. It's a nice gift.

Looking at your post history, you seem to do nothing but complain in every post about every airline. It's your life, but I just can't imagine you're a very happy person. Maybe try logging out for awhile, and get some fresh air and exercise? It beats stroking out at an early age...

And this is the reason they won't properly staff, or pay more than 150% for JR man. There is always someone here that will give up 5 days off.

I haven't met one person who has said this place has been properly staffed accepting JR man isn't the reason for that.

And why is it a bad thing to pick up all the extra time you can? I'd much rather do that than work in a bar.
