Disadvantage to being on the 175 with the goal of getting Denver is that Denver is a hub, not a domicile (for now). A possible upside is that IF Denver becomes a domicile, you will likely be able to transfer in because they won't have pilots trained on the plane senior to you who could transfer. Once you get in, I'd expect to be pushed down if senior guys start going through training.

I'm not saying newhires shouldn't take a 175 class but I have a feeling it'll go pretty senior which means you'll be either RSV for longer than you want or a bottom line holder. A lot of people I'm flying with are just waiting to hear more about the lines before they make the jump.

Oh trust me, we had those routes for Delta long before Compass. And Compass can have them. But who does more flights out of SFO than any other carrier? SkyWest. So I guess that might explain just a little bit of the United numbers, which are still better than their poster child, Mesa.
SkyWest didn't just have a good month of May for Delta, they are consistently #1 or #2 is all three metrics. What Delta hates is having to pay top dollar for the service. So what Delta really wants is 100% D:0, 100% A:14, and 100% CF for the money.

Seems kinda like the junior new hire positions are ORD based E175 or MSP based CRJ? Am I wrong? Which of those two is the quickest to hold a line and will get you the best QOL? I'm unattached to any base, I'll move wherever I need to be. I just want to get off reserve ASAP.
In other words, if you're a new hire, with the above in mind and are offered the choice...which are you taking?

So Republic starts flying Q400s into ASE for UA next week. Anyone know what the story is?

Wish they would take all of it... it can be quite the disaster at times. However, its more likely United wanted the 700's to do longer routes out of DEN for the summer season instead of just using it on the short DEN-ASE turns.

Please please please take the Qs off any flight over 1.5 hours long. What a miserable aircraft...
