By the timing of it, I would say it's attrition hiring. June and July is a few months too early to start staffing an Ejet from AA.

Someone in the training department said that they're trying to bump it up to 60 per month but likely won't be able to fill classes that size. Not an official source but that's what they're saying in SLC.

A few months ago, the company had 150 PRIA requests from other airlines, which will only increase this summer/fall with all the legacies interviewing.

Skywest needs to get the pilots whenever they can, or they'll be in trouble over the next few years.

Never to early to start staffing additional 200 flying.

Sarcasm? All the Skywest guys rave about is their new Ejets replacing the -200s. Why would you be adding them?

No one here knows why they are bringing 200's out of the desert but they are doing it for some reason.

I'm not sure if people are really raving about the E175. They just put out 20 vacancies for it and there are only 4 people on the bid list that aren't seat locked. They're likely going to have to run a new hire class because none of our 1500 FOs want to bid it.

More 200 flying is good because anything that gets some movement going is good.

Why not? I mean why not many want to bid it?

Thank you

Just curious. Why don't the FOs want to bid the 175?

I'm guessing nobody wants to go to Chicago.
