That is definitely surprising. Everybody in my class made it, and as I've said before that training department will bend over backwards to help get people through. The ones that don't make it are most likely not putting in the effort.

They do. Everyone at my interview, including an active Air Force bird colonel and F-16 driver, commented on the thoroughness of the interview. I was most impressed. It made my Part 141 Chief Instructor ride, and my ATP ride, look like a pre-solo checkout

For the E175s it's 25 airplanes in 2014 and 15 in 2015 expected. Right now we're hiring faster than attrition. When I was a new hire (not that long ago) I started as the plug at #3050. We currently have 3,300 pilots on the seniority list.

This is definitely true! We had only one not make it all the way in my class of 38. He was that guy, the guy who was late from lunch and every break... And they still bent over to help him...

I hope companies recoup their training costs on the Air Force guys. Maybe they will like it enough to stick around.

Don't go exageratin' and scarin' off potential candidates. You wouldn't want to be the reason someone passed on SKYW and ended up stuck at ________. Just drop the $50 bucks and get checked out on the interview profile in a Frasca. Thorough, yeah, but you know what to study.
