How is the QOL @ IAH?
Ive read its junior and obtainable for new hires.
Does that mean also that the captian's are junior? APC says MSP 2006 is most junior, is IAH years behind or just months?
Is their any friction JS on ev into IAH working for oo?
My wife is also a pilot should we try one for oo and one for ev and both gun for IAH or try to go for the same company?

Thank you for you time
Hey I just got IAH as my base and have done a little IAH flying as part of my ioe, I've lived near IAH my whole life and the city has a lot more to offer than meets the eye! Cost of living isn't near as bad as other bases so it's a win win especially if you don't like the cold. I got ord initially out of training but got the IAH transfer right before my ioe and think 5 from the class after me got IAH off the bat. I'd say y'all both go OO and ask for IAH there's a lot of attrition coming from above us new hires so you should both be able to get IAH soon (month or two) if not sooner like me. So come on out to Houston and dodge some thunderstorms with us this summer!

Just be upfront and honest about when you can go to class. The only danger is if there will be a class when you want to go.

I heard SKYW is now requiring you to have your ATP already when you come to interview and/or before starting class. Any truth to this? Or are they still taking without and giving it in training?

I had to have my ATP written before I could interview, but only a couple of guys I interviewed with actually had the ATP.

They've required having the ATP written done for years now. I doubt they would start requiring the full ATP in a time where it's getting harder to find applicants. Most people would just bail for a regional that didn't require it.

So they've been able to get roughly the classes of 40 they've been trying for?

That makes me feel old. I got my ATP back when we had TCAs and ARSAs and ATAs instead of all this Class B/C/D nonsense. (Well, not quite. But it was close.)

Most of the classes are 30 new hires and 10 transitions roughly at least as of recently.
