The rooms are pretty nice now but the hotel is a little shady. The lock broke on one my classmates doors and they showed up with a big machete to hack their way into the room. I've never seen a solution quite like that before.

Before the interview I'd want the comfort just for the free breakfast.

Is SBA-LAX usually weight restricted on the CRJ or Brasilia? Are either of those planes able to take a jumpseater or is the flight just too short?

Thanks in advance

From what I've gathered, SkyWest doesn't wash many people out at all. There were two in my group who they defiantly went above and beyond with and are currently online. If you have a good attitude they will get you through, if you have a bad attitude you probably wont even make it to sim.
I wouldn't say this is a show up and pass airline. In fact it's far from it. Not sure if thats what you meant. I was at another airline prior to this and I can tell you I had to work harder at Skywest. This was the same opinion of other people that came from other airlines.

Wasn't really implying that.

However, I don't think you can say it's hard. As I said, they don't wash out many people. Giving people three strikes and up to 10 additional hours of sim is not exactly what I would consider a cut-throat program. The only sure fire way to fail is to come in with a bad attitude, otherwise they will work with you. You have all the resources to succeed.

Show up and study and most people will be just fine. Of the three regional airline ground schools I have gone thru, Skywest was the easiest of the three (but still a ton of work). Could have been because the structure of the training was fantastic and the instructors were great. Also I knew how to prepare. Chatted with a SKW crew before I started ground school and they said don't sweat it, just study hard and you'll do fine, which was exactly the case. Only one older gentleman didn't make it thru.

Most people stay at the Comfort Suites

Any recommendations about a good place for dinner near there? Anything within walking distance?

Thanks!
