Hey, to each their own; I wouldn't get near being based in ORD or IAH with a ten foot pole, I can barely stand to fly through there for various weather-related or operational-related reasons. On the other hand I would love to live in California if I didn't love where I live right now just a little bit more. But if you live in the South or Midwest you might think that being able to choose from MSP, ORD & IAH is a pretty good deal whereas a commute to the BestCoast is a miserable prospect. That's kind of one of the great things about this company, our diversity of bases. Also, if you don't get what you want right away (on the EMB in particular), there's a fair to good chance you'll be able to hold it within months (SEA & PDX on the CRJ always excepted) if not within a year.

couple of question for you new skywest guys:
Say you were given the choice between the bro and the CRJ.
Would it be a killer to commute to LAX from PHX for the bro? I am thinking the Bro would allow a line to happen quicker.
How much time are guys seeing from IOE to holding a line on the Bro? and on the CRJ?
