I think the scope language is in place from a previous agreement. It's been a while since it was published but there are some independent agreements already in place. By independent I mean negotiated and agreed to outside of an all encompassing pay package.

Does SkyWest provide housing during training? If not, what are some options? If so, is it single or double occupancy?

Double occupancy? Is there an option for single occupancy at SkyWest like at some other regionals (for instance - pay a certain % of rate for the room)? My wife says I snore like a friggin grizzly bear and I don't want to deprive a fellow classmate of sleep during training.

You can opt for single occupancy and pay the difference, but it's not cheap. For my CRJ class they said it would be about $1900.
Apparently, not all the rooms are alike, so some rooms have individual bedrooms for each person, and some have one individual bedroom with the other occupant sleeping on a bed in the common area.
Cheers,
Chowmi

I just finished reading all 398 pages of this thread to learn as much as I can about SkyWest. Overall sounds like most pilots are happy.
During the course of all these pages there were several acronyms used that I didn't understand. Could someone tell me what these mean; SJS BHO AAG?
I think BHO might be "block hour override" for flying the 700 or 900. If that is the case, does that mean that for every hour you fly the larger plane you get a couple of tenths of an hour of pay?
The other two, SJS & AAG have me stumped. Could someone let me know what these mean and a short example or explanation?
Also, could someone please give a little overview of the pay issue you are voting on? I am anticipating a class date soon and just want to be as informed as possible. Thanks!!!

Example: I want to fly jet despite poor work rules and crappy pay.
