How long would it take to hold ORD and if offered the Bro could you turn it down and wait for an RJ class?

FWIW I lived in Chicago when I was hired and took a bro class date commuting to FAT and SFO for a year and a half. It's not fun at the time but now I'm on the RJ and never had to sit reserve at all on the RJ. I think it was probably worth the hassle for the better seniority, better pay and the fact that I was holding a line while most of my friends at ORD were sitting reserve getting TDYs and sitting Ready everywhere.

Sorry to change the subject but I have a quick question. I was excited to finally receive the mandatory questions last night via e-mail but I am hoping my app does not get thrown out because of one question. In the state of Texas a speeding ticket is considered a criminal offence so I had to answer yes and list my speeding tickets. I can't imagine this would ruin my chances at an interview but has anyone else had this and still get the call.

I didn't figure the speeding tickets would be an issue I was just hoping that when they saw Yes to a criminal offense they wouldn't just throw my app out. Thanks

Hey guys, looking to JS on an American branded Skywest flight. Do I need to meal list on the American non-rev number or can I just go to the gate since it's a Skywest flt? Thanks

If it's out of LAX I would call to list. The gate agents there are pretty nice but they're still American Eagle gate agents, not Skywest. They're used to people being listed before they come in and might give you some flak if you don't.

So if one worked on the ramp for OO in 1990 while in college and only
gave a 12 day notice, would they refuse you employment 23 years later? Circumstances were out of my control, but seems they dont forget and hold that grudge.....anyone know?

A regional would be crazy not to at least interview a pilot who 23 years ago only gave 12 days notice before quitting..

Prior work for Skywest as a ramper will almost definitely give you an advantage when it comes to getting an interview. If there happens to be something on your file about not giving a full two weeks notice they'll let you explain it in the interview. I'm pretty sure that rampers and gate agents quitting with less than two weeks notice is probably a pretty common thing. If it happened 23 years ago I doubt there's any kind of record of it.

Agreed. Showing SkyWest that you're a former employee and you weren't fired, pretty sure you'll get the interview. If they like you and do well with sim, you'll be hired and be a leg up in seniority.
