Klen just posted total upgrades for 2013 is 73. Projections for 2014 are: 85 ejet, 100 crj, and 25 emb 120. So by my calculations I won't be upgrading in 2014 (maybe ill sneak into the last emb class). So by those numbers you won't be upgrading till 2015 maybe, which would put you at +4 years. And if you project the those behind us they won't be upgrading in 1-2 years.

Looking long term 2014 will be a small growth year but 2015 will be not so good. 2015 brings some delta 200's, united 700's, and all of the us airways contract expiring. And by looking at the current scope restrictions not all will be renewed if any. The wild card going forward was a potential CPA with American for ejets, but now that AMR announced they will be purchasing eagle brand ejets going forward it looks a little less likely we will receive that contract.
Like others said, Skywest is a good job for a regional but if you want to upgrade in a timely manner go elsewhere. We are now what eagle was last decade.

My guess is the original 30 175 awards are included in that number and overall it will be 210 vacancies but not a 210 net gain of left seats. The only wild card will be attrition. The company expects it to be 20 a month for 2014. Hopefully it will be more than that and from guys in front of me not behind me like it has been.

They already know where the aircraft are going. The poor people flying them are the only ones that are kept in the dark. They need those concessions to stay competitive(sarcasm)!

don't worry, you'll get all of XJT's planes when they come off contract after the TA passes...

Sorry to change the subject but I have a quick question. I was excited to finally receive the mandatory questions last night via e-mail but I am hoping my app does not get thrown out because of one question. In the state of Texas a speeding ticket is considered a criminal offence so I had to answer yes and list my speeding tickets. I can't imagine this would ruin my chances at an interview but has anyone else had this and still get the call.
