Its tough to tell if you're being sarcastic.. but assuming you're not I just wanted to pass on that this is precisely what is happening at Lakes and has been the situation for the last few months.

No, I'm not being sarcastic and I certainly don't mean to offend any Lakers out there. But they are the lowest in the regional airline industry in terms of compensation and are likely to be the first to register on the supply and demand barometer. If that's the case that they are already struggling to staff their flying, it could be the first of many at the regional level.

I remember back in 04/05 CFI's would be over the moon if they even got an interview with a regional. Its amazing how things change. Makes you wonder what the next 5 years will look like.

MSP is growing over the next several months. Good chance for a new hire getting it I'd imagine.

You'll easily get MSP, no problem.

As a newbie with no jet experience, assuming I interview and get the offer (probably for the bro) what is the easiest base to commute to from DFW?

FAT does have 2 a day (from what I remember) direct flights from DFW. Still all of the bro bases have 1 leg commutes so its not that bad.

Does this mean SLC will continue to shrink?

Probably LAX then. There are 2 or 3 directs to FAT on AA though. SFO is doable too.
