Ok, I guess I need to explain it all to you because you’re comprehension skills are seriously lacking. Here’s what actually happened here: I never said nor admitted to calling in sick when I wasn’t. I made a sarcastic joke (that everyone except you understood) about how I can get time off when I can’t get any time off. We all (except you) joke about "a vacation's a phone call away." But if you must know the answer is yes, I have called in when I wasn’t sick, but my wife or two daughters were. That’s why I said my family comes first. After you made your error you then preceded to jumped up on your soap box but instead of coming off as the morally ethical one, you ended up showing yourself to be a complete fool. Everyone here’s laughing at you but you’re incapable of seeing the error of your ways. You'd rather beat the dead horse over and over and over again.
You have a serious problem with assumptions, next time before you pounce think first, try gathering more information. It's sad I have to tell a pilot this..... Learn to put your pride aside, you'll live longer and have fewer issues.
Note: To all my fellow posters who understood from the beginning, it’s sad when a troll comes along and turns these boards into a crap fest.

Anyway...... Interviewed last Friday. I was the only one! Unfortunately it was to late to be put in the July 8th class. Wonder when the next one will be. Said it would be a week before i got a call.

You were the only one who made it to end or only one interviewed? Is only one person interview common? I would have thought multiple would be norm to save time and energy, no?

I have personally flown with Critical Mach and not that his posts need defending, because they don't, but he is nothing short of a stand up guy and true professional, someone who goes of of his way to mentor and encourage new FO's.
Tools like Larry need to go disrupt other threads. New hires, best of luck. Ive been here two years and its a blast. I drink the Kool-Aid but thats only because so far it's been delicious. PM if you need anything at all. Posting on here seems to just result in all the haters coming out of the woodwork.

Just asking because I thought you said something about your vacation getting cancelled because of a base change, which I thought meant the base change was recent, thereby meaning a more recent base closure than I was aware of. I feel bad for anyone whose base was closed, been there myself and it sucks(3, 5 , or more years ago)!
Especially since this is one of the biggest negative effects on quality of life, and even more so when the base closes for NO good reason.
